Have aquired 82 maxim 650.Needs some work but mostly I need to find a parts source. I'm in Gainesville,FL and closer is better.My starter button is missing so a cellphone antena is used to crank it. Still it does run and I've owned worse.Blush

Already have shop manual on way from Ebay and saw some parts for an 81. Manual will give me better idea of what to look for.Got time.Sly

That's a good idea! Having part numbers available can make a big difference. There's a site called bikebandit.com that lets you see part numbers also.
