I never owned; nor, ridden a moped. I do ride a Big Ruckus
scooter myself. Doing a favor for a beautiful woman in her
early 20's though. She's real eye candy and has a nice personality.
I usually don't work on other peoples' bikes; but, she's so damn
cute couldn't help myself!Tongue

Trying to start a Kinetic moped from India. Been sitting
awhile (2 or more years); has only 108 Miles on it.
Drained the gas out of the carb bowl. Did have dirt in it.
The fuel filter is out of the fuel line. Wanted to start it then
get a fuel filter. I did get some new gas and mixed the oil in
it. Used 2-1/2 oz. oil in 1 gal of fuel (89 octane) w/ a squirt
of Techron fuel cleaner in it, also.

I tried to crank the pedals with the moped on the center stand.
Did try it with the Decompression lever both directions; neither,
one would start it. I did notice that I could not push the moped
when the decompression lever was lifted "up".

The clutch looks like there is some rust on it, near the shoes that
spread out. Also, notice there is no cover over the clutch. On my
Big Ruckus there is one. I don't have a manual on the Kinetic Moped.

The spark plug is probably the wrong one, as the tool kit that came with
the bike has an 18mm spark plug wrench; but the spark plug is a Bosch with a larger size than 18mm. Don't know if it's 21 mm or larger. The plug is recessed inside the cooling fins of the head; so, I can't fit a regular wrench on it.

I tried to rest another sparkplug against the frame to check for spark. Didn't see one. BUT, the plug is from my Honda scooter, didn't know if
it's the right load for the electical coil that feeds the hi-tension voltage to it.

Is there a trouble shooting guide or downloadable manual (owner's and maintenance) available? Would also like to find parts catalog and source for the parts.
