big hi to jk333, your bike takes me back a lot of years, my first 750 was a 750 k that i bought new in '74. the honda 750's was the first big metric bikes in the u.s. and great bikes. when in good running order, you can set a nickle upright on the engine ( when up on the center stand ) hit the starter button and run up around 4 grand before the nickle falls over!ok, back to your problem. sounds like you need to sinc' the carbs. you can go to clymers or hanes to buy a shop manuel. which is great to have. the carbs can be out of cinc and run fine. getting the carbs in cinc will get your bike to idle right. hope this helps. thanks for taking me back to days gone past, i really loved my 750. good lock. sonic rider
