Poor Online Shopping Experience
Dealing with this company has been brutal. Big Time. I am an avid internet shopper and my recent experience with Lockitt has affirmed why people continue to be reluctant with buying items online.

I ordered 4 items. 2 Sets of saddle bags and 2 sets of tailbags. They sent me 1 set of saddle bags of the wrong color and then sent me a tank bag instead of a tail bag. This item was sent shipped to the wrong address. In other words, they got 50% of my order wrong.

The first indication that I might be dealing with a company whose professionalism was substandard was during my initial email correspondence. There was a problem with the items getting to the shipping address and I had to redirect the package. I wrote Patrick Denayer of the Lockitt Group and his return letter was that they were charged "big time" by UPS for this redirection. Big time turned out to be $5. Any individual or company with UPS experience knows that UPS does not charge "BIG TIME" for a redirection.

After trying to organize an exchange of the items they were unable to get the package to me in time for a motorbike tour. The exchange of the items would require me to pay for another set of panniers until they received the items in exchange.

We decided that the hassle wasn't worth the time. We needed the bags. In kind gesture, Pat sent us a letter that they would send us a conversion base for our tank bag. That was in the beginning of August. I have sent repeated emails to this man regarding whether or not this item would be shipped. I have not yet received a response.

I've written off the likelihood of Lockitt following up with this gesture to rectify their poor customer service.

Would I recommend Lockitt. Absolutely not. I purchased the oxford humpback and sport bags and chose them because of their competitive pricing. I can attest that the $5 or $10 that I would have saved wasn't worth it. If you are purchasing these items, go straight to the oxford distributors in the USA.

They are not professional. They do not stand behind their products. Worst of all is that they do not stand behind their word. Trust is a major component of the internet shopping experience. I have been online shopping for at least 8 years and this has been, by far, the worst online experience.

It truly was an unfortunate experience.
